Welcome to Acres of Pearls, the future home of something wonderful! Set on 83 acres of land in the spectacular landscape halfway between Sedona and Cottonwood, Arizona, this beautiful land will provide those who wind up living here with space for gardens, an orchard and a pond; pasture areas for goats, chickens and horses; red rock views and wild, wide open space.
Over the years since I acquired the land, I’ve thought that Acres of Pearls was going to be an artist colony, then an intentional community, then a farm, then a tiny home community. Right now, I surrendered to not knowing what is going to happen on with this land. The only thing I do know is that I don’t want to incorporate any more than 20 regular homes and/or tiny homes.
My intention is to work with the land naturally, restoring historic waterways and using organic principles to develop a sustainable source of food for the community. All those who wish to wind up here will have to build in an Eco-friendly and sustainable way and be willing to follow concepts of partnership and intentionality with both their community fellows and the land itself.
